BassBuds launch as the must-have fashion technology

BassBuds launched their state-of-the-art products earlier this month with a massive event in Wembley Arena as sponsors of the The Show Tour, a 90’s R&B throwback, Dru Hill, Jodeci, Blackstreet, SWV and Damage. The sold-out arena was full of screams and cheers, but before the great concert – it was BassBuds’ turn to shine. After finding success in the USA and in Europe, the in-ear headphones company felt it was time to introduce their products here in the UK: the Swarovski BassBuds earphones and BassBoomz, their new Bluetooth speaker. The VIP Wembley Arena area where the event was held had the likes of Tyson Beckford, Caprice, JLS, Misha B, Jahmene Douglas, Bianca Gascoigne and many more celebrities, as well as influential press representatives from the fashion and music industries.

The BassBuds team impressed guests by showcasing their earphones as the latest, must-have fashion accessory with a fashion show! Models, including Britain and Ireland Next Top Model’s very own Annaliese Dayes and Ufuoma Itoje, strutted the catwalk in two looks: Avant-Garde and Everyday Lifestyle! The Avant-Garde girls had amazing wigs provided by Sleek and fashioned by our favourite hair stylist Dionne Smith, who entangled numerous BassBuds earphones in the hair and incorporated the various colours within the look. The Everyday Lifestyle models represented youth culture with accessories that matched their BassBuds! All styling was done by the amazing Erica Matthews, who worked well into the late hours the night before to make sure everything was perfect. The hair and make-up teams included Lauren Baker, Joy Adenjua and Bianca Laurent; they took over a suite in Hilton Wembley Hotel and transformed it into a beauty parlour that benefited everyone, from the models to the whole BassBuds PR team who enjoyed getting pampered by professionals!

The fashion show was a great success and our guests were mesmerised by the short and sweet catwalk extravaganza! It livened up the night and prepared everyone for the massive concert that followed the BassBuds launch party! We here at BassBuds PR would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved and we look forward to our next big project that will take fashion magazines by surprise… hint hint: an amazing photo shoot?! Keep a look out on our Facebook and Twitter pages in the coming months! Big things to come for BassBuds!

BassBuds made their mark at Wembley Arena

BassBuds celebrated their official UK launch with The Show Tour

BassBuds founders, Steve, Lisa and Clint, snapped with X Factor sensation, Jahmene

BassBuds, the official sponsors of ‘The Show Tour’, launched with an exclusive red carpet event at Wembley Arena on Saturday evening. The unprecedented line-up was made up of SWV, Dru-Hill, Blackstreet, Damage, Jodeci and Changing Faces. Doors opened, queues grew, and security was on standby awaiting the rush. The catwalk models were prepping backstage to showcase the most wanted fashion accessory for 2013. A Paparazzi uproar rose when Tyson Beckford, JLS and Caprice turned up, and by this time, guests had started to mingle while enjoying the open bar.

BassBuds founders, Steven Beckford and Clint Ippoma believe that ‘BassBuds is a fashion accessory and the target market is ready for a fun and trendy product like ours,’ says Clint. Steven adds, ‘although we are entering a saturated market, we bring something different with our Swarovski elements’.

The catwalk show displayed BassBuds through two concepts Avant-Garde and Everyday Lifestyles. The hair was supplied by Sleek and BNTM’s Annaliese Dayes closed the catwalk show in style. The VIP lounge was now filled with press from the music and fashion industry and celebrity personalities such as, Jahmene Douglas, Miss Dynamite, the boys from JLS, Misha B, Wretch 32 and Chucky Venn and Tameka Empson from Eastenders also made appearances.

All the VIP guests were gifted with a branded goody bag filled with BassBuds, BassBoomz, E-Shisha pens, Elemis Cremes, OPI nail varnish and many more exclusive products. By 8pm guests were escorted to their seats in Wembley Arena to join the rest of the 11,000 R&B fans. Host Eddie Kadi entertained the crowd until the bands graced the stage. While SWV, Blackstreet and Dru-Hill electrified the arena, Jodeci received boos from fans as Mr Dalvin fell off the stage. This didn’t bruise the atmosphere, BassBuds are proud sponsors of a concert that truly left its stamp.
