BassBuds celebrated their official UK launch with The Show Tour
BassBuds, the official sponsors of ‘The Show Tour’, launched with an exclusive red carpet event at Wembley Arena on Saturday evening. The unprecedented line-up was made up of SWV, Dru-Hill, Blackstreet, Damage, Jodeci and Changing Faces. Doors opened, queues grew, and security was on standby awaiting the rush. The catwalk models were prepping backstage to showcase the most wanted fashion accessory for 2013. A Paparazzi uproar rose when Tyson Beckford, JLS and Caprice turned up, and by this time, guests had started to mingle while enjoying the open bar.
BassBuds founders, Steven Beckford and Clint Ippoma believe that ‘BassBuds is a fashion accessory and the target market is ready for a fun and trendy product like ours,’ says Clint. Steven adds, ‘although we are entering a saturated market, we bring something different with our Swarovski elements’.
The catwalk show displayed BassBuds through two concepts Avant-Garde and Everyday Lifestyles. The hair was supplied by Sleek and BNTM’s Annaliese Dayes closed the catwalk show in style. The VIP lounge was now filled with press from the music and fashion industry and celebrity personalities such as, Jahmene Douglas, Miss Dynamite, the boys from JLS, Misha B, Wretch 32 and Chucky Venn and Tameka Empson from Eastenders also made appearances.
All the VIP guests were gifted with a branded goody bag filled with BassBuds, BassBoomz, E-Shisha pens, Elemis Cremes, OPI nail varnish and many more exclusive products. By 8pm guests were escorted to their seats in Wembley Arena to join the rest of the 11,000 R&B fans. Host Eddie Kadi entertained the crowd until the bands graced the stage. While SWV, Blackstreet and Dru-Hill electrified the arena, Jodeci received boos from fans as Mr Dalvin fell off the stage. This didn’t bruise the atmosphere, BassBuds are proud sponsors of a concert that truly left its stamp.
